Indicator Survey: Puan's Electability Rises, Observers say the fruits of perseverance have come down to the community

Fajarasia.co – The opportunity for Puan Maharani to be promoted by PDIP as a presidential candidate in the 2024 election is getting wider after the increase in electability.

The results of the Indicator survey published today, Sunday, October 2, 2022, show that the electability of President Soekarno’s grandson has continued to rise in the past year.

In the September 2020 period, Puan’s electability was still at 2.2, then rose to 3.2 in September 2022. The electability of Megawati’s daughter surpassed Erick Tohir’s 1.4 and Airlangga’s who fell from 0.4 to 0.3.

The Executive Director of Indonesia Political Opinion (IPO) Dedi Kurnia Syah assessed that the increase in Puan’s electability was quite rational, which was triggered by two things.

“First, since she was given a mandate by Megawati, she has been active in the community, and it is proven that she has received a good response,” said Dedi when contacted by reporters, Sunday, October 2, 2022.

Second, the pressure exerted by the opposing party, especially Ganjar, is increasingly cornering Puan through her volunteer movement, especially Ganjarist,” he added.

In addition, the trigger for the increase in the electability of Ms. Puan was because the public began to recognize the true figure of Ms. Puan, after volunteers began to actively take part in the field.

“Moreover, Puan has been more aggressive in promoting success throughout her career in politics, most recently for example Puan’s siding with mothers, with the MCH Bill, in which Puan gives good expectations for female workers, such as the right to leave for up to 6 months, this is a good appreciation,” explained Dedi.

The Indicator Survey will take place from 13-20 September 2022, conducted face-to-face using the multistage random sampling method. The number of samples is 1,220 with a margin of error of 2.9 percent at a 95 percent confidence level.****
