Fajarasia.co – Telematics expert Roy Suryo underwent a three-hour examination at the Directorate General of Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) of the Metro Jaya Police regarding the Borobudur Temple stupa meme.
Roy Suryo, as the reporting witness, admitted that he was questioned up to 18 questions by investigators from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police regarding the case of the Borobudur Temple stupa meme.
“I was also present as a witness from the reporter, the examination was indeed from 2 pm to 5 pm,” said Roy Suryo at Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta, Thursday (30/6/2022).
Roy Suryo fully supports the investigation of the Borobudur Temple stupa meme case reported by Pitra Romadoni as his attorney.
“Essentially, I fully support the reporting of Mr. Pitra Romadoni who reported the three initial uploading accounts. I was asked about 18 questions about the three accounts,” said Roy.
The former Minister of Youth and Sports admitted to providing an explanation to investigators regarding the social media account that first uploaded the Borobudur Temple stupa meme.
“From the three accounts, I gave instructions to the investigator, not only mentioning the name of the account, when he ‘posted’, but tracing his digital footprint,” said Roy.
According to Roy, the name of the account owner who first uploaded on June 7 is already known to the police. “Complete with telephone number, profession, photo, nickname, everything is ‘clear’,” said Roy Suryo.
Pitra Romadoni said his client’s presence at the Polda Metro Jaya was a form of seriousness in uncovering the case.
“Without being invited, he voluntarily, as a good citizen, came to assist the police in investigating this problem so that it became clear,” said Pitra.
Pitra said that his client had no intention of insulting one religion or a certain group.
“We need to clarify, Roy Suryo is not the one who edited or made the photo of the stupa meme,” said Pitra.****
