AKBP Basuki Admits Affair with Untag Lecturer, Now Faces Dismissal

Fajarasia.id  – The Central Java Police’s Professional and Security Division (Bidpropam Polda Jateng) revealed that AKBP Basuki, a senior police officer, admitted to having a romantic relationship with DLL (35), a lecturer at Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 (Untag) Semarang who was found dead in a boarding house in Gajahmungkur, Semarang, on Monday (Nov 17, 2025).

Key Witness in Lecturer’s Death Basuki, who was present at the scene when DLL died, has become a key witness in the ongoing investigation. He was taken into custody by Bidpropam following the incident.

Central Java Police spokesperson Kombes Pol Artanto confirmed that Basuki and DLL had been in a relationship since 2020 and were living together.

“Yes, they had a romantic relationship and lived in the same house,” Artanto stated at Polda Jateng headquarters, Thursday (Nov 20, 2025).

Threat of Dismissal for Ethical Violations Basuki, serving as Head of the Subdirectorate of Crowd Control at the Directorate of Samapta, has been sanctioned with 20 days of detention from November 19 to December 8, 2025. The sanction was imposed due to serious ethical violations, as he lived with a woman without legal marriage.

“This is a serious breach of the police code of ethics, involving morality and public conduct,” Artanto explained.

Basuki will face a professional ethics tribunal, with the harshest possible sanction being dismissal without honor (PTDH).

Investigation into Possible Criminal Elements Police continue to investigate DLL’s death, examining evidence such as her mobile phone and laptop, and interviewing witnesses including boarding house staff. Authorities are awaiting autopsy results to determine whether criminal elements were involved.

Basuki’s Denial and Conflicting Statements Initially, Basuki denied having an affair with DLL, claiming, “I am too old. There is no such relationship.” However, he admitted being close to her, citing compassion as DLL had lost her parents. Reports also revealed Basuki financed her doctoral graduation and even listed her in his family registry despite no blood relation.

Basuki stated that DLL had been ill prior to her death, with medical records showing high blood pressure and elevated blood sugar levels. He claimed to have taken her to the hospital before finding her lifeless in their room early Monday morning.

DLL’s body was discovered in a disturbing condition, unclothed and bleeding from several areas. Basuki argued the state was due to physical reactions prior to death.

Ongoing Case The Central Java Police stress that Basuki remains both a witness and a subject of internal disciplinary proceedings. The outcome of the autopsy and ethics tribunal will determine whether the case escalates into criminal charges and whether Basuki will be dismissed from the force.*****
