Fajarasia.co – Investigators of the Special Crimes Section of the Central Jakarta District Prosecutor’s Office have delegated phase two (P21) related to alleged corruption at the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) to the Public Prosecutor.

“Submission of the suspect and evidence on behalf of Didi Pujohadi and Wedy Prahoro,” said Head of the Central Jakarta Kejari Intelligence Section Bani Immanuel Ginting in a written statement received by the Editors, Wednesday (29/6/2022).

Bani explained that the two suspects were suspected of being involved in a criminal act of corruption in the management of the National Examination funds at the Secretariat of the Research and Development Agency of the Ministry of Education and Culture for Fiscal Year 2018.

In addition to the suspect and evidence, investigators from the Special Crimes Section of the Central Jakarta Kejari have submitted a file of the minutes of the examination.

Bani revealed that the two suspects were indicated to be involved in a corruption case that cost the state finances worth Rp. 1.15 billion.

The Central Jakarta Kejari investigator handled the case based on the Letter of the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Number: 3926/G.G6/RHS/KP.04.00/2021 dated June 3, 2021.

Bani explained the Special Audit Results Report on Accountability for the Use of Remaining National Examination (UN) Funds for 2018 at the Balitbang Kemendikbud in DKI Jakarta Province Number 07/R/Insy.Invest-Itjen/III/2021 dated March 25, 2021 from the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Education and Culture The Republic of Indonesia indicated that the two suspects were indicated to have misused the state budget of Rp. 1,159 billion.

Bani revealed that the two suspects had returned the money according to the amount of the loss determined to the state treasury, but they still had to be held accountable for their actions through the trial.

After the transfer of the second stage, the Public Prosecutor’s team of the Central Jakarta Kejari will prepare an indictment and immediately transfer the “a quo” case file to the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court.****
