Fajarasia.id – The Indonesian National Police (Polri) has officially recalled Inspector General Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono from his assignment at the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The decision follows the Constitutional Court (MK) ruling No. 114/PUU-XXIII/2025 issued on November 13, 2025, which stipulates that active police officers cannot hold civilian positions outside the police force unless they resign or retire.
Still in Orientation Phase Polri’s Head of Public Information Bureau, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andhiko, explained that Argo was withdrawn because he was still undergoing orientation for the transfer of duties at the MSME Ministry.
“He is returned to Polri for career development purposes, based on the Chief of Police’s letter dated November 20, 2025,” Trunoyudo stated on Thursday (Nov 20, 2025).
Formation of a Special Task Force In response to the MK ruling, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has established a working group (Pokja) tasked with conducting a rapid review of the principles governing police officers’ assignments outside the organization. The team will coordinate and consult with relevant ministries and institutions.
“The Pokja continues to coordinate, collaborate, and consult with related agencies. This reflects Polri’s commitment to consistently uphold legal decisions in the interest of the nation,” Trunoyudo emphasized.
Profile of Inspector General Argo Yuwono Born in Sleman, Yogyakarta, on April 2, 1968, Argo Yuwono graduated from the Police Academy (Akpol) in 1991, the same class as Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. He is well known to the public, having served as Head of Public Relations at East Java Police, Head of Public Relations at Jakarta Police, Head of the Public Information Bureau, and later as Head of Polri’s Public Relations Division.
Argo began his career in 1992 at Kupang Police, East Nusa Tenggara, and steadily rose through the ranks. In 2021, he was appointed Assistant for Logistics (Aslog) to the National Police Chief, and in 2025, he was assigned as a senior officer at the MSME Ministry before being recalled.
