NTB Prosecutors Arrest Two Legislators in DPRD Gratification Case

Fajarasia.id– The High Prosecutor’s Office of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) has officially named two provincial legislators, Indra Jaya Usman (IJU) and Muhammad Nashib Ikroman (MNI), as suspects in an alleged gratification case involving the NTB Regional Legislative Council (DPRD).

Assistant Special Crimes Prosecutor Muh. Zulkifli Said revealed that both lawmakers acted as givers of money to several council members. “They were the ones who gave money to some members of the council,” Zulkifli stated in Mataram on Thursday (November 20, 2025).

Prosecutors said the total amount of money involved reached Rp 2 billion, allegedly distributed to 15 DPRD members. Zulkifli confirmed the funds have now been secured as evidence, alongside witness and expert testimonies. However, he declined to clarify whether the money originated from private sources or state funds, citing ongoing investigation.

Based on the evidence, investigators charged IJU and MNI under Article 5 paragraph (1) letter b of Law No. 31/1999 on Corruption Eradication, as amended by Law No. 20/2001. Zulkifli added that the probe has not yet extended to the application of Article 55 of the Criminal Code concerning complicity.

The two legislators are being held in different facilities: IJU at Kuripan Prison in West Lombok, and MNI at Lombok Tengah Detention Center. Their initial detention period is set for 20 days during the investigation stage.

The case has drawn significant public attention as it involves elected representatives accused of undermining their mandate. NTB prosecutors emphasized that further investigation will focus on tracing the source of the funds and identifying any broader networks, ensuring the legal process remains transparent and accountable.****
