Fajarasia.co – Chairman of the Gerindra Party Prabowo Subianto and Chair of the PDI-P DPP Puan Maharani agreed to always build political communication for the sake of the nation’s interests.
This was conveyed after a meeting that took place at Prabowo’s residence in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java, Sunday (4/9) where the two rode and ate together and had a one-on-one discussion.
“So I think the clearest conclusion is that we are determined to continue political communication continuously, openly, as it is,” Prabowo said.
Prabowo said this meeting was the start of the upcoming political season. Therefore, he will continue to build communication with the PDI-P in the interest of unity and mutual cooperation among the nation’s children.
“For us, anything for the good of the nation and country, we are ready to implement it,” said Prabowo.
Prabowo also said that the agreement to continue good communication was to continue friendship and family relations.
“We have a lot of the same views ideologically, we are a national party, we are committed to Pancasila, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, national unity and democracy,” he said.
Prabowo revealed that his relationship with Puan’s family had been good for a long time. “More than that, I actually feel very close to Mrs. Puan and Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri, as well as Mr. Taufiq Kiemas,” Prabowo said.
Prabowo said that his closeness had been passed down for three generations, including with Megawati’s family, so today’s meeting was not a new one.
“My parents are also close to Mega’s parents and so on, my grandfather is also close to Bung Karno,” Prabowo said.
“That we also now have to assume political responsibility in our respective parties makes our relationship easier, more fluid,” he continued.***
