Blusukan with Gibran Distributes Aid to Residents, Puan: Solo is Always in My Heart

Fajarasia.co – The Chairperson of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, made a working visit to Solo, Central Java. Together with the Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Puan went to the village residents to distribute a number of aids.

Before starting her work, Puan had breakfast with Gibran and several members of the DPR in Soto Gading, Sunday (2/10/2022). The 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia Megawati Soekarnoputri also often eats at this legendary soup in the city of Solo.

After that, Puan went to the village residents who were in the Kratonan Village RT 04 RW I, Serengan District, Solo. Accompanied by Gibran, Puan walked down the alleys of the village and greeted the residents.

The residents of Kratonan village warmly welcomed Puan’s presence. Every now and then, the first woman who served as Chair of the Indonesian House of Representatives stopped in front of people’s homes to greet or have a dialogue.

“Thank God I was able to go to Solo, as well as meet with the community to see how the condition of Solo is,” said Puan.

The grandson of the Proclaimer of the Republic of Indonesia, Bung Karno, also expressed his pleasure to be back in Solo. Moreover, said Puan, Solo is one of the regions included in her constituency.

“Solo is always in my heart. So I will always work to solve the problems faced by all of you, “said the Legislator for the Central Java Region V.

Symbolically, Puan handed over assistance in the form of 1,000 food packages to residents. He also visited the children and gave gifts in the form of stationery and toys.

On that occasion, Puan also provided wheelchair assistance for 4 residents and hearing aids for 2 residents. He immediately handed over the assistance of a wheelchair to one of the elderly mothers.

“Incidentally, there are some elderly people who hope to be given wheelchairs, and we capture the aspirations of the community while providing assistance. I hope you will continue to be in good health, and this tool can be useful,” said Puan.

The former Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture also talked with a husband and wife couple who are MSME actors. Puan asked how the business conditions of the clothing craftsmen were, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic.

“How are you doing, sir? How’s the condition?” he asked.

“Business to sell pants, ma’am, but it’s quiet during Corona. We’ll try again later so we can get money,” replied the resident.

“Yes, slowly, hopefully the business can run again,” said Puan.

While checking the condition of the village, Puan paid attention to the environmental conditions where the residents lived. According to him, Kampung Kratonan is quite clean and well-maintained.

“But there are some residents’ houses that lack ventilation. I’ll try to find a solution later, but according to the Mayor, there are already houses and several village residents who have been assisted so that they have decent houses to live in, even in villages,” explained Puan.

“So there is a need for synergy between residents and the city government,” he continued.

After the blusukan, Puan went to the Sriwedari Gymnasium. He saw children practicing basketball, including Jan Ethes Srinarendra, the first son of Mayor Gibran Rakabuming.****
