Fajarasia.co – The Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP), Hasto Kristiyanto, responded casually when he answered the issue of the reshuffle in the Indonesia Forward Cabinet led by President Joko Widodo, which recently blew up.
According to Hasto, the reshuffle is the prerogative of the head of state or president and should not be fussed over, because it will drain energy.
“It reduces our energy, if we all follow the guidelines that the reshuffle is a matter for the president, the prerogative of the president, why are we making a fuss?” said PDIP Secretary General Hasto when contacted, Sunday (29/5/2022).
Hasto added that the president’s prerogative is regulated in the state constitution. That is, the president can conduct an evaluation to improve the effectiveness of government performance.
“For example, the president conducts an evaluation, why is cooking oil scarce? Why is the people’s economic movement not as fast as he expected? The president can evaluate and determine with prerogative who will be his assistant,” said Hasto.
“So, we don’t need to make a fuss about it (reshuffle),” he added.
Hasto invites the nation’s children to build positive energy for the country, rather than discussing things that are not necessarily certain. Moreover, this is the scope of President Jokowi.
“The reshuffle can only occur at the will of the president and PDIP believes that when this is done, for example, it will go through a process of evaluating the performance of its ministers to increase the effectiveness of the government,” he explained.*****
