Fajarasia.co – The chairman of the DPR RI, Puan Maharani, asked the National Police to immediately resolve the shooting case that caused the death of Brigadier Nofriansyah Yoshua Hutabarat or Brigadier J. He also reminded that this murder case should be resolved transparently.
“Moreover, this case has garnered considerable public attention,” said Puan, Tuesday (9/8/2022).
Puan requested that no party try to obscure or even cover up the case that has become public attention.
“This concerns the loss of a person’s life, the National Police must work professionally to resolve this case, as well as resolve wild issues that are now widely circulating in the community,” said the first woman who served as Chair of the Indonesian Parliament.
Puan reminded that there is a lot at stake for the Police if the resolution of the case of Brigadier J’s death is not carried out professionally. He also said that the community had been closely monitoring how the Police had resolved this case.
“It will set a bad precedent if this issue is not properly resolved. And the impact will cause public distrust of the Police,” said Puan.
The former Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture stated that the DPR would continue to monitor the progress of the investigation into the case. Puan emphasized that the settlement of this case must be carried out fairly according to applicable law.
