Fajarasia.co – The Indonesian House of Representatives will hold a Plenary Meeting, one of the agendas of which is the validation of candidates for members of the Election Organizing Honorary Council (DKPP). The Plenary Meeting will be chaired directly by the Chairperson of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani.
Before entering the first agenda, the 25th Plenary Meeting of the DPR RI for Session V for the 2021-2022 Session Year on Tuesday (14/6/2022) will begin with the inauguration of 4 members of the Interim Substitute DPR (PAW).
“The first agenda of the DPR RI Plenary Meeting today is to listen to the submission of the 2021 Central Government Financial Report (LHP LKPP) from the Indonesian Supreme Audit Agency (BPK),” said Puan.
Furthermore, the Plenary Meeting will ratify the DKPP member candidates for the 2022-2027 period from the community element after going through the election process by Commission II of the DPR on Monday (13/6) yesterday. According to the provisions, there are 5 names of DKPP members from community elements, of which 3 were proposed by the DPR, and 2 others were proposed by the President.
“Based on the results of the inventory and discussion with the factions in Commission II of the DPR RI, it was decided by consensus that 3 people are considered the best and meet the requirements as candidates for DKPP members for the period 2022-2027 and then brought to today’s plenary meeting for approval,” explained Puan. .
After being ratified in the Plenary Meeting, the 3 names of the candidates for DKPP members will be sent to the President while waiting for the names of the other 2 candidates to be sworn in later. The members of the DKPP, which is the ethical body for supervising the election organizers, will also be filled by 2 ex officio members from the KPU and Bawaslu.7
“Furthermore, the Plenary Meeting will listen to the opinions of the factions on the bill proposed by Commission VIII of the DPR RI regarding new energy and renewable energy, followed by decision making to become a bill proposed by the DPR RI,” explained Puan.
The final agenda of the DPR Plenary Meeting today is the decision to extend the time for the discussion of the Bill on the Continental Shelf. Puan said that the extension of time was taken based on the results of the Consultation Meeting in Lieu of the DPR Bamus Meeting on June 9 last.
“The Special Committee on the Continental Bill asked for an extension of the discussion time so that the resulting policy would be more comprehensive,” concluded the former Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture.****
