Fajarasia.co – The Prophet’s Mosque Authority has started to open a lost and found search service in mosques. According to the Secretary of Daker (work area) of Madinah PPIH, Saudi Arabia, Abdillah, his party has coordinated with the local security forces to search for the missing items.
Abdillah explained, Daker Madinah had placed a female officer with a special mark and identification. He is in charge of picking up the congregation’s belongings that are left or lost.
“The men have not received approval from the Prophet’s Mosque,” said Abdillah when interviewed by the MCH Team in Daker Madinah, Medina, Saudi Arabia, Tuesday (14/6/2022).
For those who feel they have lost their belongings, he appealed to the guard post officer at Gate 333. The report will be inventoried and then searched for at the lost goods service. Every day, he explained that there have been reports of missing items from Indonesian pilgrims since arriving on June 4. The average congregation reported losing sandals.
“So far, there are no valuable items,” said Abdillah.
Head of the Congregation Protection Section (Linjam) Harun Al Rasyid explained that the lost goods service at the Prophet’s Mosque was named Mahfudzot. He explained, the service is for all pilgrims from various countries who worship at the Prophet’s Mosque.
However, Harun appealed to the congregation not to pick up any scattered items in the mosque area. According to him, the mosque is equipped with CCTV which will monitor the movement of the congregation. Although the intention is simply to secure the goods, the congregation concerned can be processed by the local authorities.
“Just report it to the officers or soldiers if you see scattered items,” said Harun explaining.****
