Realitarakyat.com – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) hopes that the pre-employment card program will continue even though he will not serve as president in the future. The program is considered to have many benefits for the community.
Jokowi also revealed that next year the Pre-Employment program will be continued. He said that a budget had been prepared for the program.
“Continue. This will be continued, including next year the budget is already there,” said Jokowi
During the Gathering with Pre-Employment Alumni at the Sentul International Convention Center, Bogor, Friday (17/6/2022) yesterday.
Jokowi also revealed that nearly 80 percent of participants in the pre-employment card program received benefits. The benefits include increased skills.
“Shows that real benefits have been received by pre-employment card participants. In the BPS survey, it was clear that 88.9 percent of the participants claimed to have benefited in the form of better skills or new skills. This is important data, the percentage of 89.9 percent is a very high appreciation,” he explained.
It is known, within two years of its implementation, now, the Pre-Employment Card Program has reached its 32nd wave, with more than 12.8 million beneficiaries spread across 514 districts/cities throughout Indonesia.
However, Jokowi did not mention how much the budget had been prepared for the Pre-Employment program. In addition, Jokowi said he would also evaluate the Pre-Employment program.
“The most important thing is that it is evaluated first, there are corrections. Regarding the budget, it will be adjusted to the existing APBN. But what is clear is that in developing our country’s human resources it is very good. Good for up-skilling, reskilling, very good and in very large numbers. 12.8 million, that’s a very big number,” he said.****
