Fajarasia.co – The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs of Indonesia, Airlangga Hartanto stated, the construction of the Bengkulu-Lubuk Linggau toll road was carried out to support the economy of the Bengkulu people and government.
“To boost the economy, one of them is through road access because of the connectivity flow so that goods can go out and enter the Bengkulu area,” said Airlangga, Sunday (26/6/2022).
Furthermore, Airlangga explained, the construction of the first phase of the toll road crossing the City of Bengkulu-Taba Penanjung, Central Bengkulu Regency with a length of 17.6 kilometers has been completed.
Then, he continued, the second phase of the construction of the Taba Penanjung-Kepahiang toll road and the third phase of the Kepahiang-Lubuk Linggau Regency, South Sumatra, will soon be built in stages.
“Currently, the government is evaluating the next stage of development and will monitor it from the National Strategy Project (PSN),” he said.
“The construction of the Bengkulu toll road is targeted for completion in 2024,” he concluded.
It is known, the second phase of the toll road construction, namely from the Taba Penanjung area, Central Bengkulu Regency to Kepahiang Regency, reached Rp. 23 trillion.
Based on the results of discussions with the central government, the construction will be carried out in 2023 and has been budgeted for by the central government during a technical coordination meeting by Bappenas, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) and the Ministry of Finance.
The second phase of the Bengkulu – Lubuk Linggau toll road construction, namely from Taba Penanjung to Kepahiang Regency, is 23.7 kilometers long. Currently the second phase of the toll road construction is in the process of land acquisition to be used as a toll road location later.****
