Fajarasia.co – The working visit of the Chairperson of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, to Lampung was welcomed by hundreds of local community leaders.
It is known, Puan visited a number of places in Lampung since yesterday, Wednesday (24/8) until today.
During the visit, Puan went directly into the midst of the community to find out and absorb various aspirations for her to fight for into a policy and program by the government.
The Coordinator of the Puan Lampung Fighters, Iqbal Rahmat, said that initially the reception came from volunteers and loyalists of Puan Maharani, but apparently also from hundreds of local community leaders.
“Initially, this welcome came from Ms. Puan’s loyalists, fighters who love and hope Ms. Puan becomes President in 2024, but apparently many people are involved, this is proof of the enthusiasm of the people of Lampung for Mrs. Puan,” he said, Thursday (25/8/2022).
According to Iqbal, Puan’s visit was a very important moment for the people of Lampung. Because, apart from being able to meet directly with President Soekarno’s grandson, it is also an opportunity for the community to express their aspirations.
“As a national figure from southern Sumatra, of course the people of Lampung expect a lot from Mrs. Puan, this support can be proof that hundreds of community leaders from villages flocked to welcome Mrs. Puan, they were happy to welcome her directly,” he said.
For two days, Puan carried out various activities in Lampung, one of which was opening the Creative MSME Festival, which was followed by a Serasehan with Farmers and Fishermen at the Multipurpose Building (GSG) of the Regent of Tulang Bawang Regency.
During the dialogue with the community, Puan said that she was working hard to pay attention to the needs of the community, both in cities and remote areas of Indonesia, to support sectors that boost the Indonesian economy.
“The House of Representatives is working hard so that it’s no longer difficult for farmers to get fertilizer, fishermen are not having a hard time going to sea, fish cultivators are no longer having trouble selling their catch, and people with disabilities can get the same opportunities as the general public,” said Puan Maharani. .
Puan also emphasized that the DPR RI will continue to fight for the aspirations of the people by listening to what the community needs and promising to try to make it happen.
“I hope that the community can tell and tell us what problems they are facing and what needs are needed by all of you,” said Puan. ****
