PDIP's Second National Working Meeting to Discuss Strategic Issues From Villages to the Basic Conception of the 2024 Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates

Fajarasia.co – The DPP of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) will hold the 2021 National Working Meeting (Rakernas) at the Party School, Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta, Monday (20/6/2022). In the National Working Meeting, PDIP will discuss a number of strategic issues, ranging from advancing villages to discussing the basic conception of the 2024 presidential and vice presidential candidates.

Secretary General of the DPP PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto said the National Working Meeting was an expanded DPP meeting to involve participants from the chairman, secretary, and treasurer of the DPD PDIP. In addition, the participants also came from representatives of the party’s wings and bodies, including members of the DPR RI from the PDIP faction.

“What is more prepared is a strategic agenda in order to win the 2024 election, but also at the same time how the PDI-P in the election effort is able to answer various people’s problems and put forward the synergy of the three pillars that go down,” said Hasto before taking part in the tahlil in the framework of the Haul-to-Election. 52 Bung Karno at the Party School, Monday (20/6/2022).

“Other strategic issues that will be discussed, apart from the village, are also related to the basic conception, vision, mission that will be carried out by future presidential and vice presidential candidates, so that when Megawati Soekarnoputri at the right moment makes decisions regarding the presidential and vice president,” said Hasto.

The politician from Yogyakarta added that the 2020 National Work Meeting which will be held on 21-23 June 2022 is a meeting that should have been held last year. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, PDIP postponed the National Working Meeting.

“It can only be held on June 21 tomorrow and at the same time waiting for the momentum to determine all stages of the election from the KPU,” he said.

The Doctor of Geopolitics from the Indonesian Defense University explained that the National Working Meeting was carried out in a simple, contemplative atmosphere, and discussed strategic issues for the progress of the nation and state. The theme raised was “Strong Village, Advanced and Sovereign Indonesia” with the sub-theme “Taman Sari Village, Progress of the Archipelago”.

According to Hasto, this theme was taken to remind the political character to descend from the bottom. PDIP believes that true power comes from the people, not those who move in the air.

“And in discussing this strong village, all aspects of village governance, culture, culinary, as well as all local wisdom as always emphasized by Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri will be discussed. So from the village the party continues to move to build optimism in the midst of the Jokowi government’s efforts to overcome the pandemic and also reduce the various impacts due to the uncertain global situation, which is full of uncertainty,” said Hasto.***
