Fajarasia.co – Governor of NTB, Dr. H. Zulkieflimansyah wants the establishment of the UII campus not only in the area of the island of Java. However, the establishment of a campus must be courageous so that the best campuses can be developed in Eastern Indonesia, including in NTB, so that in the future western Indonesians can study in eastern Indonesia, including in NTB.
This was conveyed by the Governor at the Inauguration of the Regional Leadership Council of the Alumni Association (IKA) of the Indonesian Islamic University (UII) West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province for the 2021-2026 period, coupled with the launching of the Member Identity Card (KTA) which was held at the Aruna Senggigi Hotel, West Lombok. , Monday (23/5/2022).
“So it’s no longer the time for eastern Indonesian children to study in Yogyakarta, Malang, Jakarta, Bogor and Bandung, but we have a dream that western Indonesians like Aceh Palembang can study at our place,” he explained.
For Bang Zul, the nickname of the Governor of NZTB, that the presence of the Chief of MA to NTB is expected to be an inspiration for UII alumni in NTB to take part in contributing to existing institutions and institutions.
“I am grateful to be proud that the general chairman of the IKA UII center is a person who is honored and respected at the national level as the chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia,” said Bang Zul.
As is known, the IKA UII organization is a gathering place for alumni of the Indonesian Islamic University in Yogyakarta, between faculties and also across generations. The birth of the Alumni Family was also motivated by a strong urge to help each other among alumni, as well as a sense of responsibility for alumni to participate in fostering and building their alma mater.
Responding to the wishes of the Governor of NTB, the General Chairperson of the DPP IKA UII Prof. Dr. Syarifuddin, S.H., M.H. gave appreciation to the Governor’s desire to establish and develop a UII campus to be able to stand in the province of NTB.
“Some time ago, together with UII alumni, that they wanted to develop the UII campus to be able to stand in Pekanbaru, what’s wrong with building it in NTB,” he answered briefly.
In addition, the message is to the management of IKA UII who have just been inaugurated to maintain cohesiveness regardless of the conditions, maintain the alma mater and the good name of the campus as well as the good name of the organization.
“Don’t forget to do good cooperation with the governor, so that he can contribute and in the right direction so that it can be useful for the province of NTB,” he ordered.
The Chairperson of the Regional Council for the Alumni Family Association (IKA) UII NTB, H. Muhammad Ramadhani hopes that IKA UII NTB can contribute, collaborate and synergize with the Provincial and Regency/City governments throughout NTB in the success of local government programs. Moreover, with the successful implementation of the MotoGP event in NTB, there will be an MXGP soon to be held in Samota Sumbawa.
“By being involved in contributing to support government programs, Ull alumni contribute to the progress of the region according to the program to realize the vision of NTB Gemilang,” he said. (LS)
