Fajarasia.id — The Traffic Unit (Sat Lantas) of Tanjungbalai Police continues to demonstrate its commitment to Zebra Operation Toba 2025. On Tuesday (November 18), officers carried out a community outreach program aimed directly at motorcycle workshop owners.
Led by Traffic Police Chief AKP Demonstar, SH, MH, together with members of the task force, the campaign took place at Camel Motor Racing Workshop on Teuku Umar Street, Tanjungbalai Selatan District. The initiative seeks to reduce traffic accidents while raising public awareness about the importance of safe and disciplined driving.
During the session, AKP Demonstar emphasized a strict prohibition on selling or installing non-standard exhaust systems, commonly known as “knalpot brong.” He explained, “These exhausts not only violate traffic regulations due to excessive noise pollution, but they also often trigger illegal street racing and disturb public order.”
Beyond warnings, the police encouraged workshop owners to actively support efforts to build a culture of traffic discipline in Tanjungbalai. The collaboration is expected to help lower accident rates and improve overall road safety.
The owner of Camel Motor Racing Workshop welcomed the initiative, pledging to stop selling or installing noisy exhausts and to cooperate with law enforcement. “We fully support this program and are committed to creating a safer and more orderly city,” he said.
With stronger synergy between police and local businesses, Zebra Operation Toba 2025 is expected to run effectively, foster greater discipline among road users, and ensure safer traffic conditions across Tanjungbalai.
