Fajarasia.co – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) pressed the RI Presidential Decree (Keppres) No. 9 of 2022 concerning the Assignment of the Vice President to Carry out Presidential Duties.
The Presidential Decree emphasizes the assignment of Vice President Ma’ruf Amin to carry out the daily tasks of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations until July 2, 2022.
“To stipulate: first, to assign the Vice President to carry out the daily duties of the President in accordance with the provisions of the laws and regulations as long as the President carries out a working and/or state visit to Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Russia and the United Arab Emirates on June 26 until July 2, 2022, or until the date of arriving back in the country,” the presidential decree stated.
The purpose of the Vice President in carrying out the daily tasks of the President in the Presidential Decree is stated to maintain the smooth implementation of the government.
“Secondly, if within the assignment period, it is necessary to immediately determine a new policy, the Vice President as the executor of the President’s duties must first consult and seek approval from the President,” it was written.
The third point in the Presidential Decree, it is stated that when the President returns to the country, the assignment ends and the Vice President immediately reports the implementation of the task to the President.
The Presidential Decree is effective from the date of stipulation, which is June 24, 2022.
As is known, President Jokowi, First Lady Iriana, along with a limited group of people left for Germany, Sunday (26/6/2022).
The visit was in order to attend the G7 Summit (Summit) on 27-28 June in Germany.
After Germany, the President will visit Ukraine and meet with President Volodimyr Zelenskyy and Russia to meet President Vladimir Putin.
His visit to these two countries aims to carry a mission of peace. The head of state will end his series of overseas visits by visiting the UAE.*****
