Street Food Vendor in Paluta Allegedly Victim of Violent Robbery

Fajarasia.id  – Residents of Pangirkiran Village, Hulu Sihapas District, were shocked by a brutal incident on Saturday evening (November 15, 2025), when a middle-aged street food vendor was reportedly attacked in what is suspected to be a robbery.

The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. local time as the victim, known to be a traveling satay seller, was passing through the main road in Pangirkiran. Eyewitness accounts and footage circulating on social media show the victim lying unconscious with severe injuries believed to have been caused by a sharp weapon.

Medical staff at UPTD Puskesmas Aek Godang confirmed that the victim was initially treated in the emergency ward before being referred to RSUD Gunungtua in Aek Haruaya, Portibi District, due to the seriousness of his condition.

“Yes, we received a patient this evening who was reported to be a robbery victim. After initial treatment, we immediately transferred him to RSUD Gunungtua for further care,” said Yusniar Harahap, Head of Puskesmas Aek Godang, when contacted by phone.

As of Saturday night, the victim remains under intensive medical care. Meanwhile, his motorcycle and satay cart have not yet been recovered and are suspected to have been taken by the perpetrator. Local police are currently investigating the case and gathering witness statements to identify the suspect.*****
