This can be seen from the policy of Puan, who also served as Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (PMK) and is currently at the helm of the DPR RI.
Meanwhile, Puan played an important role in the success of the DPR RI in passing the Sexual Violence Act (TPKS).
In addition, Puan also encouraged the DPR to immediately ratify the Draft Law on Maternal and Child Welfare (RUU KIA) into law.
“From the start I was very lucky to have Mrs. Puan as Chair of the Indonesian House of Representatives because previously Mrs. Puan was the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, she was very understanding and very concerned with social welfare issues from upstream to downstream,” said DPR RI member from the PDIP Faction, Selly Andrianygantina. , Sunday (31/7/2022).
Apart from paying attention, Mrs. Selly also said that she gave full support to each of the Council’s Apparatuses (AKD) to discuss bills related to social welfare issues.
For example, the TPKS Law which is the domain of Commission VIII and the MCH Bill which is the task of Commission IX.
“Not only his attention but his support by giving trust to each commission, including each field that handles social welfare issues,” said the member of Commission VIII of the DPR RI.
On that basis, Selly will also support any policies that are of concern to Puan Maharani.
Not only in terms of the legislative function, but also from the supervisory and budgetary functions.
“I will support the policy of the Chairperson of the DPR so that in the future whatever the policy of the Chairperson of the DPR can be implemented. So that the DPR does not only talk from the regulatory side, but in the future there is really support from the budget side that can be implemented as well,” he said.****
