The KIB, which consists of the Golkar Party, the PAN and the PPP, has yet to confirm its candidacy.

From the internal KIB, Airlangga Hartart, leader of the Golkar Party, is the strongest. Golkar has decided to appoint a general chairman based on the results of the parliamentary session, although there are names other than PAN and PPP.

Still, Pangi appreciated that the KIB had certain strategies and designs that prevented it from nominating presidential candidates. “I think the party needs conception and strategy. That said, it is possible that the KIB is waiting for other parties to join the Golkar-PPP-PAN coalition. “Perhaps that is why the KIB did not announce its presidential and vice-presidential candidates for other parties to join it,” he concluded.
