Fajarasia.id – Indonesia’s Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) said human resource (HR) development and improving the national economy are among the performance priorities of the Directorate General of Immigration.
“The national development agenda must be realized immediately through various innovations and immigration policies,” Indonesian Minister of Justice and Human Rights (Mengkumham) Yasonna Hamonagan Raori said in Jakarta on Thursday.
This was conveyed by his Menkumham Yasonna, who led the ceremony for the 73rd Migrant Service Day with the theme of “New Immigrants for Progressing Indonesia”.
One of the policies of the Directorate General of Immigration is to encourage the economic development of the country. Immigrants must constantly develop various innovations, accelerate the wheels of the economy, and implement various strategies that can involve all elements of society. Yasonna said this could be addressed by implementing a strategy to diversify visa types in line with the times. However, this must be preceded by a thorough investigation that also includes comparisons with applications in other countries.
In addition, immigrants can attract foreign investors wishing to invest in the country through the various service facilities offered.
One example is Golden He’s introduction of visas and making it easier for members of the public to submit their applications through a widely integrated and networked system.
In his briefing, Yasonna emphasized that migrants, as promoters of the development of the common good, must be able to provide the best immigration services while performing law enforcement functions for national security. “The law enforcement department’s immigration function works closely with the service function and does not conflict with each other,” he stressed.****
