Fajarasia.co – Member of Commission VI of the House of Representatives, Herman Khoeron, assessed that the government must have a plan related to decisions for national oil reserves.
It is intended that the public can enjoy the Government’s program through the National Oil Reserve as well as the previous National Rice Reserve (CBN) program.
“This concerns the livelihood of many people and the state must have reserves,” said Herman, Wednesday (25/5/2022).
Not only that, Herman also hopes that the national reserves for people’s needs will not only be held for cooking oil, but also for other commodities.
“Not only migrants, but in the future it could also be like soybeans, sugar, and others which are very vulnerable to prices,” he said again.
“The government’s cooking oil reserves aim to ensure that prices can be intervened with market operating prices,” concluded Herman.
It is known that the government will assign Perum Bulog to provide cooking oil reserves of 10 percent of the total national bulk cooking oil needs.
Meanwhile, the implementation of exports by producers will be subject to strict and integrated supervision, both by the Customs, the National Police Food Task Force, Ministries and Institutions, and the Regional Government.****
