Fajarasia.co – Two inmates from the Tangerang Youth Correctional Institution (Lapas) were found to have abused narcotics.

They have the initials M and J who were previously convicted in a similar case.

Head of the Penitentiary Division of the Banten Kemenkumham Regional Office, Masjuno, said that the disclosure of the case was based on the disclosure of the Tangerang Youth Prison in collaboration with the Banten Provincial National Narcotics Agency (BNNP).

Furthermore, said Masjuno, internally the Tangerang Youth Prison has carried out further steps by securing the inmates in question and being placed in solitary confinement.

“The prison has carried out an internal examination to complete the handling of the case, Tuesday (24/5/2022).

The Head of Tangerang Youth Headquarters, Kadek Anton Budiharta, confirmed this. He admitted that currently the inmates have been given strict sanctions with severe disciplinary punishments in the form of revocation of their rights and placement in solitary confinement.

“It has been strictly sanctioned and occupied in solitary confinement,” he said.

Regarding the type of drugs and how the chronology is, Kadek Anton, is still reluctant to provide information. However, according to him, this disclosure is a form of commitment from the Tangerang Youth Prison in an effort to create a Clean Prison from Drugs which in its implementation also cooperates with the Tangerang City BNN and Banten BNNP.

“We promise to continue to carry out efforts to prevent, eradicate, abuse and illicit drug trafficking (P4GN, ed) in synergy with the Banten BNNP, Tangerang City BNN and Tangerang City Police Metro,” he said. ****
