The first day of the congregation from Indonesia in Arafah Experiencing heat stroke

Fajarasia.co – The first day of the Indonesian Hajj pilgrims in Arafah was marked by heat stroke or extreme weather attacks. Based on observations, the average congregation who came to the Indonesian Health Post in Arafah were those who were shocked by heat stroke.

“On average this is heat stroke,” said dr. Syahril Firmansyah, doctor on duty at the Indonesian Health Post through his release, Friday (8/7/2022).

In addition to heat stroke shock, there are also patients who have a history of heart disease and complain of shortness of breath accompanied by pain in the chest.

“There is someone who has a heart attack since Jakarta, and complains of shortness of breath. In addition, there is pain in the chest,” said Dr. Lutfi, a doctor who specializes in male care.

Most patients with heat stroke receive treatment in the form of cold compresses to reduce the high temperature in the body. The rapid decrease in temperature is very crucial, especially since the congregation is in Ihram and still has to perform Wukuf on Friday tomorrow.

Dr. Susi Hendarty, a neurosurgeon specialist said with the techno cool method (cooling technology mechanism), high body temperature due to heat stroke can immediately drop. It only takes about 10-15 minutes.

“The patient regained consciousness and was able to communicate with officers,” said Dr. Susi.

The Indonesian Health Post team also appealed to all congregants not to do much activity outside Arafah’s tent. Because extreme weather will drain the congregation’s energy. Congregants were also asked to only leave the tent in an emergency or important situation. ****
