Indonesia Wins 2022 Rafting World Champion

Fajarasia.co – The Indonesian Women’s Junior Rafting Team managed to rank first in the Head to Head (H2H) of the 2022 World Rafting Championship (WRC) which took place on the Vrbas river, Banjaluka, Bosnia Herzegovina, Europe.

Head to Head (H2H) itself competes between national teams with the Sprint ranking as a reference. H2H is wading through a river with rapids with a distance of only one hundred to two hundred meters. Participants are released side by side and the results of the leading journey through the finish line are recorded for the winner.

In H2H, the boat maneuvers to seize the best route in the river rapids. It can even close the lane if the boat can be completely in front of the opponent. This discipline can also testify to the expertise of the rafting team in the maneuvers that will be needed in the slalom discipline on the third day of the competition.

After yesterday’s women’s masters team, the Indonesian women’s junior team, which was the world champion at the previous WRC in 2019 on the Tully river, Australia, took first place and won the gold medal.

The Indonesian women’s junior rafting team also has the opportunity to become the overall champion. This was conveyed by the team coach named Aceng Supendi after the ceremony to honor the winner.

“The opportunity to win the overall championship is open, because both Canada and Indonesia have the same points. Leaving 2 numbers, the slalom and the Down river race,” explained Aceng, the team coach after the ceremony to honor the winner.
