In their actions, the perpetrators managed to steal $400 million in cash and some jewelry from the wife of the Mayor of Blitar. Before leaving, the perpetrator also cut the surveillance cable and brought a recorder.
In the course of the investigation, the East Java Local Police were able to arrest his three assailants, and his other two assailants are still being pursued. According to the perpetrator’s testimony, the robbery was planned at the Class IIA Sragen prison in Central Java.
