Even recently, Puan Maharani was again in the spotlight when she felt that SOE Minister Erick Thohir and Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi were seen exercising in the Car Free Day (CFD) area from Senayan to Sarinah Thamrin, Sunday (5/6/2022).
Communication expert from Pelita Harapan University (UPH) Emrus Sihombing assessed that Puan Maharani was a person who could be accepted by all.
Thus, he believes that the PDI-P cadres will be very capable of building very productive relationships.
“Puan Maharani is an inclusive figure, a pluralist figure with whoever she is, I think that Puan is very capable of building very productive relationships. So because of that, I think that this lady is a good character,” said Emrus when contacted by the media, at Jakarta, Sunday (5/6/2022).
Therefore, Emrus is of the view that in determining a character, it must be seen from his quality, not based on his electability or popularity.
“Puan is a quality figure, the public conversation should shift, no longer to electability figures, popular figures, and we have to shift from there,” he said.
“Because electability and popularity are products of manipulation of public perception, now we have to talk about quality figures for our country,” he concluded.****
