The Red Devils sealed the emphatic victory through goals from Hans Vanaken, Jeremy Doku (2), Brandon Mechele, Alexis Saelemaekers, and Charles De Ketelaere, who added a brace. The result cemented Belgium’s position at the top of Group J with 18 points from eight matches.
Liechtenstein, meanwhile, ended their qualification campaign at the bottom of the table, failing to collect a single point across all fixtures.
Wales Marches into Play-offs
In Cardiff, Wales booked their ticket to the play-offs after dismantling North Macedonia 7-1 at Cardiff City Stadium. Harry Wilson stole the spotlight with a hat-trick, while David Brooks, Brennan Johnson, Daniel James, and Nathan Broadhead also found the net. North Macedonia’s lone goal came from Bojan Miovski.
The victory lifted Wales to second place in Group J with 16 points. North Macedonia finished third with 13 points but will still progress to the play-offs via the Nations League pathway.
