Fajarasia.co – The Sorong Search and Relief Office or Basarnas sent a team to look for a fisherman named Horden Tabib Yati who was reported missing in the waters of Raja Ampat since May 17, 2022.
The head of the Sorong Search and Rescue Office, Muhammad Arifin in Sorong, Sunday, said that the victim reportedly departed from Sorong using an engine boat for fishing in Raja Ampat waters, precisely in the waters of Jefman Island and Senapan Island on May 17, 2022.
He said that because there was no news from the newspaper to the family, it was reported to Basarnas by a resident named Nikson on 18 May 2022.
According to him, after receiving the report, the Basarnas team assisted by fishermen immediately searched for the victim with a heading of 265.57 degrees, a distance of 11.26 NM.
It is said that since the first day until today or the fifth day of the search process the team has not found any signs of the victim’s whereabouts.
“The search for the victim will be carried out again tomorrow, Monday (23/5), or the sixth day of the search at the same location in the waters of Raja Ampat,” he said.
