Fajarasia.co — Public support for Puan Maharani continues to flow, this time from the people of Banten.
Attended by hundreds of people, people from groups of workers, farmers, community leaders and youth who call themselves Puan Maharani Banten’s Volunteers of Fighters declared in Pandeglang, Sunday, July 30, 2022.
Coordinator of the Puan Maharani Banten fighter volunteer Dzakir Irham said the volunteer was formed as support for Puan Maharani to advance in the contestation as president in the 2024 General Election.
“This people’s declaration describes the political situation in Banten, where Puan Maharani has a place in most groups of farmers, workers, village communities, all participants in the declaration are none from political party cadres, purely people at the lower level,” he said, Monday, August 1, 2022. .
South Banten, which is dominated by agrarian groups, he said, enthusiastically welcomed the emergence of Puan Maharani’s name as one of the presidential candidates who began to be widely discussed by the public.
“Banten has also proven to be friendly to women leaders, many female leaders were born in Banten, so people have different feelings when there is Puan Maharani as a candidate for presidential candidate 2024, hopefully this movement will be followed by other provincial communities,” he said.
The phenomenon of the emergence of Puan Maharani’s volunteer in Banten, according to Political Observer at the Islamic University, Sheikh Yusuf Adib Miftahul, is proof that Puan is a real figure in the collective memory of the community.
“The emergence of Puan Maharani’s volunteers in various regions, one of which is in Banten is the political vibration of resistance to the survey results. Because if you are surveyed, you are often not ranked at the top. That’s why the political vibe with this declaration I think is important, that the message conveyed is the presidential election, not the presidential election. It’s just a matter of survey that is important, grassroots therapy of militancy also has a big role to play,” he said.
Adib considered this support from grassroots community groups reasonable, because PDIP is a low-income party that is close to voters at the grassroots.
According to him, with the phenomenon of the emergence of volunteers who declared themselves to support Puan as a presidential candidate, the grandson of the proclaimer of Indonesian Independence, Soekarno, had a great chance of being promoted as a presidential candidate from the PDIP. “Additionally, Puan is an elite from the PDIP who in fact won the election with more than 19 million votes. The militancy of the PDIP which tends to be solid with a large vote has also contributed to the fact that grassroots declarations and party support can also be big capital, not just surveys,” he concluded.
Previously, Puan Maharani volunteers were also declared in East Java and North Sumatra. The volunteers from the two provinces stated their commitment to continue to move to socialize Puan Maharani to other communities at the grassroots as a presidential candidate in 2024.***
