Fajarasia.co – As many as 18 League One teams are confirmed to take part in the 2022 pre-season competition. The draw was held at the Pullman hotel, Bandung City, Sunday (29/5/2022) yesterday.
“So today, Alhamdulillah, the drawing for the pre-season has been carried out, it has been witnessed together (the draw) in a fair and clear way,” explained PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) President Director Akhmad Hadian Lukita after the draw.
This pre-season championship is divided into 4 groups, namely group A in Solo, group B in Samarinda, group C in Bandung, and group D in Malang.
“The competition will start on June 11, 2022 until the top party on July 17, 2022,” he said in a statement received by the Editor on Monday (30/5/2022).
According to Akhmad, there is a difference in this pre-season, namely that the home team can play at home, to draw the audience’s interest.
“The match system is different from the Menpora Cup first, the system is home base, at home base it is not allowed to be used by clubs that are there, now we expect the host to be most significant is the presence of spectators,” he explained.
Akhmad explained, the prize money will be given to the winner and runner-up position only.
“The prize for the winner is IDR 2 billion and the second winner is IDR 1 billion,” he added.
As for the name of the 2022 pre-season competition, which was previously the Presidential Cup or Menpora Cup, said Akhmad Hadian Lukita, his party has not been able to publish it. Because it is still in the discussion stage with the relevant parties.
“This is indeed being discussed with the government, because of course we want to get a clearer principle permit,” said Akhmad.
Meanwhile, in each group, each team will compete for two tickets for the champion and runner-up of the final standings, in order to qualify for the next round or quarter-finals.
