Fajarasia.co – Serang Police have arrested a trio of youths suspected of raping underage girls they just met in the Modern Area, Cikande, Serang Regency, Banten Province.
“The three rapists are now being held accountable for their actions,” said Serang Police Chief AKBP Yudha Satria in Serang, Sunday.
The three perpetrators had the initials KA (20), SA (22), and SU (20), all residents of Bandung District, Serang Regency.
They were arrested by members of the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) of the Serang Police after the victim’s parents reported it to the police.
“We moved quickly, got a report on Saturday (21/5) night, Sunday morning they were arrested in Undar-Andir Kragilan Village, Serang Regency,” he explained.
According to him, the rape occurred after the three perpetrators became acquainted with underage girls around the Modern Area, Cikande.
The perpetrator took the victim to a rented house on Saturday morning at around 01.00 WIB, which is not far from the Modern Area and persuaded the victim to join a drinking party.
The victim was forced to join a drinking party because previously the underage girl refused to drink it.
In a semi-conscious state due to the influence of alcohol, the victim was raped by the three young men.
“The victim’s parents were worried that their daughter didn’t come home all night and then looked for and found the victim. After finding out that their daughter was raped, the victim’s parents reported it to the Serang Police,” explained the Police Chief.
The three alleged perpetrators were charged with Article 81 in conjunction with Article 82 of Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning the Second Amendment to Law No. 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection with a minimum penalty of 5 years in prison.****
