TNI AU Headquarters Choose Lancing Area in Central Lombok, World Paragliding Spot Arena

He said that last year’s TNI AU paragliding activity was carried out in Batam and previously in Ende Regency, NTT Province. Paragliding is an adventure tourism sport because this sport has added value because apart from being a sports vehicle but also as a tourist vehicle.
“In Turkey, flying balloons are expensive tourist destinations, so why not in Indonesia, Paragliding is a mainstay tourist vehicle,” he said.

According to him, there are many Paragliding Spots in Central Lombok, including Torok Aik Belek beach, Montong Ajan Village, Southwest Praya, Areguling and Lancing areas. However, of all the available spots, Lancing is the best spot in Indonesia, beating Bali. “The purpose of this activity, said Agung, is to intensify aerospace activities, including promoting tourism so that people are interested in the world of aerospace,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the Regent of Central Lombok, H.L. Pathul Bahri, strongly agrees with the plan for the Paragliding Pelangi Nusantara 2022 activity which will take place in the Lancing Praya Barat beach area on August 25-28. He asked all staff of the Loteng local government assistants to coordinate with the Air Force (AU) to prepare all the necessities for the success of this world-scale Paragliding event. “I do not want any obstacles and obstacles for the success of this activity,” he said.

Meanwhile, the owner of the Lancing Santo area, admitted that the Paragliding location in the Lancing hills area has received official permission from the organizing team, because it is considered the best for Paragliding activities on a national and international scale.

Not only that, Santo also admitted that he is currently preparing the location optimally, so that later there will be no obstacles in terms of where the activities are carried out. “There are no problems with the athletes’ flying altitude permits and everything will run smoothly,” he said. (LS)
