Fajarasia.co – The chairman of the DPR RI, Puan Maharani, as well as the Chair of the PDI-P (PDIP), Puan Maharani, responded to the initiative to create a Council of Colonels. The Colonel Council Forum was formed by a number of members of the PDIP faction of the DPR RI to support Puan.
“This initiative is valid as long as it is built based on the spirit of mutual cooperation,” said Puan after visiting the Mahasina Darul Qur’an wal Hadith Islamic Boarding School in Pondok Gede, Bekasi, West Java, Wednesday (21/9/2022).
The first woman to serve as Chair of the Indonesian House of Representatives stated that she had heard the proposal to create a Council of Colonels. Puan also hopes that the Council of Colonels can help carry out the party’s duties, especially in accordance with the direction of the PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri regarding preparations for the 2024 General Election.
“The instructions from Mrs. Ketum are that all cadres, sympathizers, party structures must prepare themselves to welcome 2024. Go to the field, go down to meet the people,” said the former Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture.
The members of the PDIP faction of the DPR who are members of the Colonel Council are said to be tasked with socializing the figure of Puan in their respective electoral districts. They stated that they would introduce Puan’s character and achievements to the public.
“That’s their initiative, but actually how can we work together in carrying out the party’s tasks, the tasks of the factions to socialize all programs to the field,” explained Puan.
According to Bung Karno’s grandson, every form of activity carried out by cadres must produce positive results for the internal PDIP. Puan again advised that all PDIP cadres should prioritize the principle of gotong royong.
“Everyone who then has a goal and a desire to work together in mutual cooperation, of course it must be a positive thing that can be done,” he concluded.*****
