Democracy, he emphasized, is a tool to achieve a just and prosperous society. “The election is an effort to perfect democracy,” he stressed again.

Democracy also, he said, guarantees citizens’ participation in articulating political rights, social rights, cultural and economic rights, including providing space for women in all fields to be active and take strategic roles in all fields.
