Fajarasia.co – The alleged criminal case of extortion that allegedly involved the Head of the Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Office, Kupang City, Ir. Benjamin H. Ndapamerang, the examination of witnesses has been completed.
The examination of the witnesses was carried out by the Special Crime Investigation Team (Tipidsus) of the NTT Prosecutor’s Office last week. With the witness examination over, investigators just need to set a schedule for the case exposure.
“The examination of the witnesses has been completed. Only the investigator for the Special Crimes (Tipidsus) of the East Nusa Tenggara High Court (Kejati NTT), will schedule the case to be held,” said Head of Penkum and Public Relations of the NTT Prosecutor’s Office, Abdul Hakim, S.H, Thursday (26). /05/2022).
According to Abdul, for now, investigators have not scheduled a case to be held before the Head of the NTT High Prosecutor’s Office (Kajati), Hutama Wisnu, S. H, M. H.
Abdul emphasized that the purpose of this case was to determine the suspect in the case allegedly involving the Head of PUPR Kupang City, Benyamin H. Ndapamerang.
“The purpose of the exposure is to determine who is most responsible in the case based on the evidence and statements of witnesses,” said Abdul.
Abdul Hakim reiterated that currently the case has been upgraded from an investigation (Lid) to an investigation (Dik), because elements of an unlawful act (PMH) were found.
“The case has been escalated to investigation (Dik), because it was found that there was an unlawful act (PHM),” said Abdul Hakim.
It is to be noted that the Head of PUPR Kupang City, Benyamin H. Ndapamerang was successfully secured by the Tipidsus NTT Prosecutor’s Task Force (Satgas) at the Kupang City PUPR Office along with evidence of cash worth Rp. 15. 000. 000.(rey)
