Fajarasia.co – Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno said the increase in entry fees for the Borobudur Temple destination was postponed for review.
“For Borobudur, we thank God for input from all community leaders, religious leaders, experts, the decision on the cost is still being postponed for review. But of course it is certain that the carrying capacity limit is only 1,200 per day,” said Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno when asked journalists about the price of admission to the leading destination, Thursday (9/6/2022).
Sandiaga’s presence in Baubau City was a visit to the Indonesian Tourism Village Award (ADWI), where the Limbo Wolio Tourism Village in the Buton (Wolio) palace fort area entered the top 50, outperforming 3,500 other villages in the country.
“Indeed, to maintain it, you must involve the community, the government and all of them. The enthusiasm of the community was extraordinary, I saw in other places there was no support as enthusiastic as this time. So let’s work together to maintain it as an order according to President Joko widodo’s expectations that tourism must rise, the economy must grow, and jobs must be opened,” he said.
The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, welcomed the Mayor of Baubau La Ode Ahmad Monianse in Kara Square, Melai Village, Mayor of Baubau City, Baubau DPRD Chairperson, Forkompimda elements, Baubau Regional Secretary Roni Muntar, and a number of OPD heads of Baubau City Government, greeted with the Galangi regional dance. At that location, the head of the tourism awareness group (Pokdarwis) explained about the Limbo Wolio tourist village.
Furthermore, Minister Sandiaga also witnessed and directly participated in the traditional “Polojo” game with local children, visited the tomb of Sultan Murhum with the Santiago procession, visited the souvenir house, and visited the Popaua Stone, then cycled to the location where the inscription was signed, gave certificates and plaques, and others in the Lanto Gate area.****
