Fajarasia.co – The husband of United States House of Representatives (DPR) Speaker Nancy Pelosi was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving Saturday (28/5) in Napa County, California, according to police records.
Paul Pelosi, 82, was charged with two offenses at dawn Saturday.
Paul had to pay US$5,000 (approximately Rp. 72.76 million) to be guaranteed temporary release, according to the records available online.
A California Highway Patrol spokeswoman had no immediate comment, but said it would provide further information.
The state of California prohibits people from driving if the blood alcohol level is above 0.08 grams per deciliter of blood.
Nancy Pelosi herself on Sunday (29/5) was in Rhode Island to give a graduation speech at Brown University.
Nancy’s spokesman, Drew Hammill, said: “The Speaker of the House will not comment on personal matters that occurred while he was on the East Coast.”
