“So the operation pattern of the Commuter Line KRL will experience significant changes for the Bogor Line and Bekasi/Cikarang Line,” said Vice President (VP) Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter Anne Purba, in a written statement received by the Editor, Sunday (22/5/2022) .
Later, KRL Bogor will only serve passengers on the direct route Bogor-Jakarta Kota. So, passengers from Bogor who want to go to Sudirman Station, Tanah Abang Station, or Kampung Bandan Station, must transit at Manggarai Station.
Likewise, the Bekasi KRL will be diverted from initially serving the final destination to Jakarta Kota, now it will only go directly to Tanah Abang, Senen, to Jatinegara stations.
“So, passengers from Bekasi who want to go to Jakarta City, must also transit at Manggarai Station,” he explained.
The adjustment of the Rail Trip Chart (GAPEKA) for the Commuter Line KRL is carried out because the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) is currently completing the construction of the Manggarai Station, which is in the switch over (SO) process, or the route change starts on May 27 or Friday night until May 28 or Saturday morning. .
It is known that this SO is the fifth time, and SO 5 activities need to be carried out to organize and condition the railway line at Manggarai Station, so that construction can continue.
“We will take advantage of the window time between the operating hours of the train which starts after the last train finishes operating and before the first train starts its journey the next day for SO 5 work,” explained Anne.
In total there are 8 work points during SO 5 and will connect Line 1 and Line 3. So that civil structural work on the east side of the Manggarai Station building can be carried out, so that the target for building operation in 2023 is realized.
Later, after SO 5 activities are carried out, there will be a line adjustment at Manggarai Station which is used to serve train passengers. After SO 5 later, Line 1 and Line 2 of Manggarai Station will only serve long-distance trains, and Line 3 will be deactivated.
“Meanwhile, the KRL Commuter Line crossing the Bekasi/Cikarang Line will be served on Line 6 and Line 7 at Manggarai Station. The Bogor Line will be served on Line 10, Line 11, Line 12, and Line 13,” he explained again.
