Fajarasia.co – The chairman of the MPR RI Bambang Soesatyo appreciates the performance of the KPU which has prepared the stages of the 2024 election. Among other things, by updating the voter data continuously which records the number of voters until March 2022 reaching 190,573,769 people. The number of polling stations reached 695,102 units.
“To expedite the stages of the 2024 General Election starting on June 14, 2022, the KPU has also utilized information technology through the One Data Web. Among others, presenting Sirekap (Recapitulation Application), Silog (Logistics Application), Silon (Nomination Application), Sidakam (Campaign Fund Application) ), Sidapil (Electoral District Application), Sipol (Political Party Application), and Sidalih (Voter List Application),” said Bamsoet from the RI MPR Building after the launch of the 2024 election stages, in Jakarta, Tuesday night (14/6/22).
Present among others were DPR RI Speaker Puan Maharani, RI DPR Deputy Speaker Lodewijk Freidrich Paulus, RI DPR Commission II Chairman Ahmad Doli Kurnia, DPD RI Deputy Chairperson Nono Sampono, Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian, RI KPU Chairman Hasyim Asyari, and Election Organizing Honorary Council Chairperson. Muhammad, and the Head of Bawaslu Rahmat Bagja.
The 20th chairman of the DPR RI and the former chairman of Commission III of the DPR RI in the field of Law, Human Rights and Security, explained that the KPU must work hard to ensure that every stage of the 2024 General Election can be carried out smoothly. In the near future, the stages that will be faced by the KPU include registration and verification of election participants on 29 June-13 December 2022. Determination of election participants on 14 December 2022, as well as determining the number of seats and determining electoral districts on 14 October 2022-9 February 2023.
“Continued the nominations for President and Vice President on October 19-25 November 2023, the election campaign period on November 28, 2023-10 February 2024. Quiet period on 11-13 February 2024, voting on 14 February 2024, vote counting on 14-15 February 2024, as well as the recapitulation of the vote count results from February 15 to March 20, 2024,” explained Bamsoet.
The Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar Party and the Head of the Law Enforcement, Defense and Security Relations Agency of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry added that after the 2024 elections were over, the KPU still had a tough task to make the Simultaneous Regional Head Elections to be held on 27 November 2024. It was held to elect around 271 regional heads, consisting of of 24 governors, 56 mayors, and 191 regents.
“We are optimistic that the 2024 Simultaneous General Election and Pilkada will run according to schedule and will be successful. The 2024 and 2024 Simultaneous Regional Head Elections in Indonesia may become the largest general election held by the world. Its success will further strengthen Indonesia’s position as the world’s largest democracy,” concluded Bamsoet .****
