Fajarasia.co – Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Menpora RI) Zainudin Amali, who represents President Joko Widodo, opened the MXGP of Indonesia 2022 at the Sumbawa Regent’s Office, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Friday (24/06/2022). In this ‘Welcome Ceremony’ activity, Menpora Zainudin Amali conveyed greetings from the Head of State.
“On behalf of the President of the Republic of Indonesia to open MXGP 2022 in Sumbawa. The President conveys his warm greetings to the people of NTB, especially the people of Sumbawa,” said Minister of Youth and Sports Amali.
According to Menpora Amali, hosting an international event is an honor. Therefore, NTB as the location for this year’s MXGP must be a good host.
“Mr. President gave a message to be a good host and prepare all needs optimally, because that is what is being remembered,” said Menpora Amali.
Furthermore, Menpora Amali said Indonesia was ready to host various international sporting events.
“Of course this is the President’s hope and order for me to take as many international sporting activities as possible in Indonesia, and NTB has started it,” explained Menpora Amali.
Meanwhile, the Governor of West Nusa Tenggara, Zulkieflimansyah, said he was very happy that his region was hosting another international racing event.
“Welcome to Sumbawa, we are pleased to welcome all of you. Previously we hosted the Mandalika MotoGP. The location here is great. So I hope this year’s MXGP participants can enjoy it. Thank you,” he said.
The MXGP racers are planned to undergo a series of agendas before competing in the 12th MXGP of Indonesia series at the Rocket Motor Circuit MXGP Samota-Sumbawa on 25-26 June 2022.
Indonesia has four representatives in the 2022 Motocross World Championship series. Farhan Hendra Fahrodjie will compete in the premier class, while Ananda Rigi Aditya, Muhammad Delvintor Alfarizi, and Diva Ismayana will compete in MX2.****
