Fajarasia.co – Member of Commission II DPR RI Muhammad Rifqinizamy Karsayuda said he agrees that the budget that has been set for the 2024 general election (Pemilu) reaching IDR 76.6 trillion must be used as effectively and efficiently as possible.
This was conveyed by referring to the statement of the Chairman of the DPR RI, Puan Maharani, after leading an audience between the DPR RI and the General Elections Commission (KPU) some time yesterday.
Puan reminded that the use of the election budget later can be done effectively and efficiently and maximized according to the needs since the start of the stages.
Therefore, Rifqi stated that he was ready to oversee the use of the total stipulated budget. Where, there are several budget items which efficiency can then be carried out, especially on non-electoral budgets.
“Indeed, there are several non-electoral budgets, such as the preparation of vehicles and office infrastructure, which are actually in the KPU budget of Rp. 76.6 trillion. Including anticipation if for example Covid-19 is still ongoing,” Rifqi told the media crew in Jakarta, Saturday (11/6).
Thus, he asked the KPU as the executor to coordinate with the ministry of institutions related to the efficiency to be carried out optimally.
“We are asking the KPU to coordinate with other institutional ministries so that it can be handled by other institutional ministries, for example, the procurement of PPE for COVID-19 can only be left to the Ministry of Health, while the infrastructure will be carried out by the Ministry of Public Works. So that the budget management is not fully managed by the KPU,” said the politician from the PDI-P faction.
“And it can cut the budget that has been determined. And it is estimated that more than Rp 20 trillion will be cut,” said the legislator from South Kalimantan.
Therefore, Rifqi emphasized that he would continue to oversee and follow up on Puan Maharani’s message as chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives.
“We will follow up, because Mba Puan is not only the chairman of the DPR but also my superior (in the party),” he concluded.
Previously, the Chairman of the DPR RI, Puan Maharani, led a DPR audience with the General Elections Commission (KPU) to discuss preparations for the 2024 General Election.
Puan also highlighted a number of things, including the effectiveness of the democratic party’s budget.
“It has been mutually agreed between the KPU and the DPR through Commission II and the Government that the election stage will begin, God willing, according to the existing schedule, namely June 14, 2022,” said Puan at the DPR Building, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday (6/6/2022). .
Puan also reminded about the effectiveness of the budget that had been agreed between the DPR and the government of Rp. 76.6 trillion.
