Fajarasia.id – President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, officially inaugurated the use of interactive flat panels (IFP), commonly known as smartboards, as part of the government’s national education digitalization program. The launch took place during his working visit to SMP Negeri 4 Bekasi, West Java, on Monday morning.

The President arrived at the school at around 10:45 a.m. aboard the Maung MV presidential vehicle, accompanied by a convoy of official cars. He was welcomed by several high-ranking officials, including West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi, Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu’ti, Presidential Chief of Staff Muhammad Kodari, Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, and Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Meutya Hafid.

Digitalization for a Smarter Indonesia Under the theme “Digitalization for Smart Indonesia”, President Prabowo inspected school facilities and observed a demonstration of smartboard use by teachers and students. The technology enables real-time interaction in remote learning, offering a more collaborative and engaging classroom experience compared to traditional one-way media.

Nationwide Distribution Target The initiative aligns with Presidential Instruction No. 7 of 2025, which emphasizes revitalizing educational institutions, building model schools, and accelerating digital learning. The government aims to equip every classroom in Indonesia with smartboards as a standard facility.

This year, 288,000 IFP units are scheduled for distribution to 330,000 schools nationwide. As of November, 215,572 units have been shipped, with 172,550 already installed in schools and 43,022 still in transit. The government targets full delivery by December 2025.****
