Fajarasia.co – Eid al-Adha is still more than a month away, but the sacrificial cows from President Jokowi’s assistance have been prepared to be distributed throughout Indonesia.
This year, Riau Province will again receive assistance from the President’s sacrificial cow, which was slaughtered at the 2022 Eid al-Adha celebration.
Eid al-Adha 1443 Hijri in Indonesia will fall on July 9, 2022.
“We have received confirmation that this year Riau has again received the assistance of sacrificial cows from the President,” said Head of the Riau Regional Secretariat Welfare Bureau, Zulkifli Syukur, Saturday (21/5/2022).
Therefore, his party together with the Animal Husbandry and Animal Health Service of Riau will look for alternative cows before a team from the State Secretariat (Setneg) reviews the sacrificial cows provided by the President.
“Once we get a few cows, the team will see firsthand the feasibility of the cows. If the team says it is appropriate, eat the cows that will be used as sacrificial cows for the President’s assistance,” he said.
Zulkifli said that the sacrificial cows from the President’s assistance would later be slaughtered at the Annur Grand Mosque in Pekanbaru, Riau, during the celebration of the Eid al-Adha holiday.
“The sacrificial cows that help the President as usual will be slaughtered at the Great Mosque of Annur, and the meat will be distributed to people in need,” he explained.
Zulkifli added that the President’s sacrificial cow will be slaughtered at the same time as the Riau Governor’s and Riau Forkompinda’s sacrificial cows.
As is known, every Eid al-Adha, President Jokowi always distributes sacrificial cows to a number of corners of Indonesia.
In 2021, he distributed 35 cows to a number of areas in the country.
