Police say three died in bus crash in Ciamis

Fajarasia.co – Ciamis Police Chief AKBP Tony Prasetyo Yudhangkoro said three people died in a bus accident that hit houses and vehicles in the Paripurna area, Payungsari Village, Ciamis Regency, West Java, Saturday at around 18.00 WIB.

“It was recorded while three people died,” said Tony via cell phone in Ciamis, Sunday (22/5/2022).

Tony said that his party had mobilized his staff to deal with the bus accident, including registering the victims in the incident.

In addition to the reported three fatalities, he said, there were 24 injured people who were currently receiving medical treatment.

“A total of 24 injuries, while we are still collecting details,” said the Police Chief.

He said that the Pandawa PO tourism bus was carrying passengers for tourism activities.

The police, he said, are currently still investigating the crime scene and normalizing traffic flow so that vehicles can still pass.

“The situation at the TKP (the crime scene) is normalizing the flow of traffic (traffic),” said the Police Chief.

Previously, the bus carrying passengers home from the tour drove from Panjalu to Panumbangan with downhill road conditions.

Arriving at the scene, the bus went out of control and crashed into a vehicle and a house on the side of the road.

The tourism bus accident incident was widely spread on social media which showed a number of damaged vehicles, then the bus hit a house.

In addition, a number of people were seen lying on the road, while the situation at the scene was chaotic.
