Fajarasia.co – The police appealed to the public to be patient in waiting for white license plates and not to buy them online.
The Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the Police will soon implement a plan to change the basic color of motorized vehicle number (TNKB) signs from black to white.
However, this policy is implemented in stages. That is, not all vehicles get white number plates at the same time.
“I ask the public to be patient,” said the Director of Regident Korlantas Polri Brigadier General Yusri Yunus to reporters, Monday (23/5/2022).
If the policy is in effect, the public is advised not to panic. He forbade buying white plates online, because according to him all vehicles will have white plates if they comply with the provisions.
“It was the police who issued the plates, not online,” he explained.
Furthermore, Yusri said, if this year has been realized, then in 2027 all vehicles on a national scale will use white plates.
“It will change from 2027, everything is white, because it’s been 5 years,” he said.****
