“Pertamina as one of the operators assigned to distribute subsidized fuel and LPG from the government will continue to maintain stock so that it can meet the needs of the community and parallel distribution is maintained in accordance with the quota set by the government,” said Acting Vice President Corporate Communication Pertamina Heppy Wulansari in Jakarta, Friday (10/6/2022).
In the upstream sector, Pertamina continues to strive to increase oil and gas production, which was recorded in April 2022 reaching 969 MBOEPD. The Company continues to add exploration wells, exploitation wells, workover wells, and well service to increase oil and gas production.
Efforts to ensure the availability of energy supply are also carried out by Pertamina on the processing side by strengthening the reliability of refinery operations, improving product quality, and accelerating the completion of refinery construction projects.
Heppy said Pertamina’s steps to ensure national energy supply were also seen in the resilience of the supply of fuel and LPG, both non-subsidized and subsidized.
Currently, the resilience of subsidized fuel supply nationally is in a safe condition. Pertalite is in the range of 17 days, subsidized diesel fuel 22 days, and LPG 17 days.
Heppy added that the current stock of BBM and LPG is in a safe and sufficient condition. Consumption of fuel and LPG has returned after experiencing a sharp spike during the last Eid al-Fitr holiday.
“To ensure that supply remains sufficient, it is not only measured by availability at gas stations, but also the efforts made to ensure that upstream and processing operations run optimally,” concluded Heppy.
In the midst of soaring world crude oil prices and rising global commodity pressures, the government has taken a policy of increasing fuel and LPG subsidies.
As a form of appreciation for this policy and to ensure the fulfillment of energy for the community, Pertamina continues to maintain energy supply to meet the needs of subsidized fuel and LPG in all corners of the country.****
