This is because Puan has been given a mandate by the Chairperson of the PDI-P Megawati Soekarnoputri to open communication with all political parties.
On Monday today, Puan has already started her political safari by visiting the office of the General Chairperson of the Nasdem Party, Surya Paloh.
“The appointment of Puan as an opener for communication to other political parties is a good step in my opinion. Because Puan as a young figure does not have the burden of the past and will be more flexible in communicating with any political figures,” Pangi said to reporters, Monday (22/8/2022). ).
According to Pangi, the PDI-P’s political stance is considered to be a determinant in the political map leading to the upcoming 2024 presidential election. The PDI-P’s move as the winner of the previous election as well as the holder of the most seats in parliament is awaited by all political parties.
He considered that the coalition that had been built between a number of political parties at this time could be seen as just an assessment and pleasantries. This is because the coalition formed does not have a clear direction.
“Practically, none of them until now has a mature coalition. I think that’s because we are still waiting for the PDI-P,”
Pangi gave an example of the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB), which consists of Golkar, PAN and PPP. He assessed that the coalition formed by the three political parties was immature because it was not clear which candidate to carry.
Meanwhile, the coalition between the Gerindra Party and PKB is also considered immature and does not seem confident.
This is because, although Gerindra has again declared Prabowo as a presidential candidate, no vice presidential candidate has yet been announced to be promoted.
“This coalition is not confident in its declaration because it is still waiting for other parties to join,” said Pangi.
The remaining parties, namely Nasdem, PKS and Democrat, are still unclear whether they will form a coalition and form their own axis.
“Almost all coalition political parties are still waiting and see, none of them are clear,” he said.
He believes this happened because the PDI-P as the party that has the most seats in parliament has not acted.
Although it can carry its own presidential and vice presidential candidates in the upcoming 2024 presidential election, the PDI-P seems cautious.
He predicts that the PDI-P will only move in the last seconds before the registration of candidate pairs.
And the PDI-P movement in the future is not impossible to break up the coalition that is currently being built.
“So if the PDI-P doesn’t start, no one will dare to take steps,” Pangi said.
